Welcome to the SF Literature Readings Room. As part of our neverending quest to bring our members some of the best sfnal content on the web, we bring you our version of a SF con's author readings. There are, however, some important details that you should know about before you venture too much farther. The readings require a Java-capable and Java-enabled browser. If you don't do Java, you can't do the readings here. Second, the technique used in presenting the streaming audio requires at least a 14.4 connection to the web. So, if you're browsing at less than 14,400 bps, you probably can't do the readings here. Third, a sound card is required.
To hear the author readings, use the pull-down menu below to select the author you wish to hear, then click the Read To Me button. A new browser window will be spawned, and within a few seconds, you should start hearing the author's voice.
